How SkillsUSA Helps You
If Your School Has a SkillsUSA Chapter
Great news! You're just a few steps away from joining a community of like-minded, motivated students. Here’s how to get started:
Talk to your school’s SkillsUSA chapter advisor. This is usually a CTE teacher at your school.
Attend a chapter meeting to learn more about what your chapter does.
Pay your membership dues. Your advisor will walk you through the process.
Get involved! Choose a SkillsUSA Championships competition, attend conferences, run for office, and make the most of your membership.
If you’re unsure who your chapter advisor is, ask your school’s CTE teacher or office.
If Your School Does Not Have a SkillsUSA Chapter
No SkillsUSA chapter yet? You can help bring one to your school! Here’s what you can do:
Talk to a teacher or staff member who might be interested in serving as your SkillsUSA chapter advisor. A CTE teacher is a great place to start.
Share this website with them, especially the Start a Chapter page for advisors.
Reach out to SkillsUSA. We’re happy to talk with your teacher and provide information they need to get started.
Starting a chapter is a team effort, but it begins with student leaders like you!
